The linux program Dashboard provides live-updated stuff related to what you are currently doing. Thanks, Hos hie | 05:43, 13 December 2005 (UTC) Īpplegoddess, yeah. For this reason I have assigned F8 for this. I have an iBook G3 (US keyboard) and I have to press fn+F12 to bring up Dashboard. Jones 09:26, 31 October 2005 (UTC) I can confirm this. I have to press Fn + F12 to get it to pop up. I've got a newly installed copy of Tiger and F12 absolutely does *not* pop up Dashboard. its the end result of a bunch of javascript/css/html/objective-c or whatever else you use put together.Īnd also, isn't dashboard the name of another application for GNOME or something.the predecessor to Beagle search tool?

That's sorta my best effort.don't know how to explain it better.Īnd widgets are their own little pseudo-application. When you press F12 or whatever key that opens Dashboard, what comes up is a screen with all of the open widgets, with an option to open new ones and close the already open ones. Consider each widget its separate little application. When you press the key that activates dashboard, all of your currently open widgets pop up (see screenshot) and you also have the ability to press the + shaped button on the bottom left hand corner to change which widgets are open. Is this usage accurate? - Beland 01:47, (UTC) Do all of your accessories all pop up, or can you pick which one you want to use right now? In older terminology, you would build an application out of "widgets", but here, widgets seem to be what you end up with at the end of the construction process. It's unclear to me what happens when you press F12. 11 Image copyright problem with Image:Dashboard Adding Widget.png.6 Fair use rationale for Image:Dashboard Icon.png.Other : *Current discussions (XFD's, mergers, etc.):.Be sure to add the articles to any appropriate task forces.
